QHHT stands for Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique. It was developed by Dolores Cannon (1931–2014), an American self-taught hypnotherapist whose work with past-life regression began in 1968. She began teaching the method formally in 2002. The Quantum Healing Hypnosis Academy, based in Huntsville, Arkansas, continues to certify practitioners using her materials.

No. QHHT is a proprietary single-lineage system. The Academy's internal certification is not validated by the ICF, EMCC, AC, or any independent professional accreditation body. The word "accredited" on the Academy's website refers to its own tiered certification structure, not third-party program accreditation.

What do the three certification levels mean?

Level 1 covers the core induction and session structure, and is available online. Graduates become Interns until they complete 25 sessions, then advance to Level 1 Practitioner status. Level 2 refines interviewing and practice-building skills, and requires submitting 25 additional session notes. Level 3 is a small-group intensive conducted via Zoom that requires at least 125 documented sessions and peer review of recorded work.

Can QHHT sessions be done remotely?

No. QHHT sessions are conducted in person, consistent with Cannon's original teaching. The Academy does not sanction remote QHHT sessions. Practitioners who offer remote "QHHT" sessions are working outside the official method.

What is the "Subconscious" in QHHT?

Cannon used the term "Subconscious" (sometimes called the Higher Self or Oversoul) to describe a layer of awareness accessible in somnambulistic trance that she believed holds a client's full history, answers to personal questions, and the capacity for healing. This is a spiritual or metaphysical concept distinct from the subconscious as defined in psychology.

Is QHHT the same as BQH or other quantum healing modalities?

No. Beyond Quantum Healing (BQH) and similar methods were developed independently of the Dolores Cannon lineage and can be practiced remotely. The Quantum Healing Hypnosis Academy is the only organization authorized to certify QHHT practitioners. Other modalities may draw inspiration from Cannon's work but are not QHHT.

What should I ask a QHHT practitioner before hiring them?

Ask which certification level they hold — Level 1 Intern, Level 1 Practitioner, Level 2, or Level 3 — because the levels primarily reflect how many supervised sessions they have logged, not an independently audited standard of competence. Ask how many sessions they have conducted and what the range of client experiences has been, since QHHT relies heavily on practitioner skill in facilitating deep trance. Ask whether they have access to supervision or peer consultation. Clarify that QHHT is not a substitute for mental health care: if you are managing clinical depression, active trauma, or a psychiatric condition, a licensed therapist or psychiatrist is the appropriate first contact, not a QHHT practitioner. A session runs three to five hours in person, so ask what post-session support they offer — whether there is a follow-up conversation to help you integrate the experience.
