The process uses a four-column Immunity Map: an improvement goal, the behaviours that work against the goal, the hidden competing commitments and worries protecting the status quo, and the big assumptions underlying it all. Once those are visible, practitioners can design tests of the assumptions and produce real change. What it does not tell you is whether that coach holds an independent professional coaching credential. ITC certification is proprietary to Minds at Work; it is not issued or recognised by the ICF, EMCC, or any other external accreditation body. A well-qualified ITC-certified coach typically holds a separate ICF or EMCC credential as well. Ask for both when evaluating a coach who uses this method: the ITC certification and the independent professional credential.
