ORSC stands for Organization and Relationship Systems Coaching. Its central premise is that the relationship is the system to be coached, not the individuals within it. The methodology treats every team, partnership, family, or organisation as having its own intelligence and personality — what CRR Global calls the Third Entity, the relationship system itself, distinct from the individuals comprising it. Coaching shifts from working with individuals to working with the system, which is the structural break with one-on-one coaching paradigms. The model is now recognised by the ICF and embedded in its team coaching competencies.

Relationship Systems Intelligence (RSI) is a CRR Global concept that builds on Daniel Goleman's models of Emotional Intelligence (relationship with oneself) and Social Intelligence (relationship with others) by adding a third tier: awareness of and skill with the wisdom of the system itself. Where Emotional and Social Intelligence treat the individual and the dyad as the working units, RSI treats the relationship system — team, partnership, family, organisation — as the unit. Daniel Goleman's emotional and social intelligence research, John and Julie Gottman's relationship science, and Buddhist contemplative practice are also part of the lineage. The Co-Active coaching tradition (CTI), under whose banner ORSC was first taught in 2002, contributed the coaching frame and presence-based facilitation style.
